Dalhousie – Kings Faculty Teas were social events for women organized by the wives of faculty members and women on the staff of Dalhousie and King’s. The primary purpose of the teas was to welcome new faculty wives and women staff to the universities. While the group was open to all faculty wives and women staff a smaller standing committee managed each of the teas and the group’s finances. Teas were held four times during the academic year and usually took place at Shirreff Hall or at the Dalhousie University President’s home. The group is known to have been active between 1938 and 1950.
