4 cm of textual records Biographical SketchWilliam Jarvis McCurdy (1904-1988) obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie in 1926 and was chair of the Dalhousie Class
of 1926. He went on to do his PhD in philosophy at Harvard and became a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Toronto.
Custodial HistoryThe fonds was accessioned in two parts – 1978 and 1991. The donor of the first accession is unknown; Mrs. Avis M. McCurdy,
wife of Jarvis McCurdy, donated the second in 1991.
