What Is DalSpace?DalSpace, an initiative of the Dalhousie Libraries, is an institutional repository that collects, preserves, and distributes digital content produced by members of the Dalhousie community. Here you may find articles, working papers, preprints, technical reports, conference papers and data sets in various digital formats. Content grows daily as new communities and collections are added to DalSpace. DalSpace content is organized around Communities which can correspond to organizational entities such as schools, departments, labs, research centers, etc. Within each community there can be an unlimited number of subcommunities and an unlimited number of collections. Each collection may contain an unlimited number of items. Each community can have its own distinct identity and logo. Each community and collection can have its own policies on submission, workflow, content and access.
How To RegisterTo request to register as an authorized DalSpace depositor:
Copyright InformationWhen you deposit an item to DalSpace, you will be asked to confirm that you are the rights holder or that you have the permission of the rights holder to deposit the item. With regard to published journal articles, if the publisher holds the rights to the article, you will need to confirm the publisher’s policy with regard to depositing an article to an institutional repository. Some publisher policies are available at the Sherpa RoMEO website. If the publisher or journal title in question is not listed on the RoMEO site, contact the publisher directly to ask about the policies.
