decisions by systematically evaluating the properties and effects of health care technology.

Medical Techology and Practice Patterns Institute (MTPPI)
- A nonprofit organization established in 1986 to conduct research on
the clinical, economic, and social implications of new and emerging health
care technologies.

National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology (NICHSR)
- Established in 1993 to improve the collection, storage, analysis,
retrieval, and dissemination of information on health services research,
clinical practice guidelines, and on health care technology, including the assessment
of such technology
- VA Technology Assessment Program VATAP *
- A national program within the within the Office of Patient Care Services dedicated to
advancing evidence-based decision making in Veterans Affairs.

- INAHTA members include the main publicly funded HTA agencies

HTAi is the new association for individuals and agencies involved in health

- Key aims include carrying out health technology assessments (HTAs)

- Systematic reviews related to allied

- It's role is to advise on evidence relating to the safety, effectiveness
