Access to our Collections Electronic Resources
There is no password requirement to access our electronic resources from on campus. However, to access these resources from remote (off-campus) locations you will be prompted to authenticate yourself as a legitimate Dalhousie user. This requires your Dal NetID username and password. For more information, visit our remote access page. Don't know your Dal NetID? Note that passwords expire
every 12 months. You will only be reminded on your Dal email account.
Print Resources
Print collections are located on the first and second floors of the Kellogg Library. The pharmacy collection is located in the Burbidge Building next door on College St. Print journals do not circulate. Books in our general collection normally circulate for 3 weeks, although you may request a faculty loan which allows you a much longer borrowing period. Renewals may be done online through Novanet.
Novanet Online Catalogue
To find out what is in the Dalhousie Libraries collection, search the Novanet catalogue (searchable from any of the Libraries' webpages). Novanet also lists resources from most other post-secondary institutions in Nova Scotia.
