The Thomas H. Raddall Archive includes manuscripts of the vast majority of his published works, from his earliest writings to his memoirs. These include novels, short stories, articles, radio broadcasts and plays, sound recordings, and forewords for other works, from 1929 to 1976. Raddall was a careful researcher, and the University Archives holds his research notes for most of his written works, as well as general historical studies on specific subjects. Raddall's extensive correspondence covers the years 1914 to 1994, and includes letters with other authors and his publishers, among others.
Also included are collections of photographs and memorabilia which cover all of Thomas Raddall's life, and interesting material related to his father who fought and died in the trenches of World War I. Raddall also kept several detailed scrapbooks which include reviews of his books, clippings, and other research material.
Some material, such as the early drafts of his memoirs and his personal diaries, are closed to researchers at the author's request until 2019.
