Place a hold on a book
- Holds can be placed when you are in the Novanet catalogue.
When you are looking at the item record, there will be a Request Hold button on the left hand
side.
- Note - A hold allows you to have a book held for you once it has been
returned by the current borrower. Students, faculty and staff who require the book
sooner than the due date can request a recall by going to the Circulation Desk of the
owning library. Recalls reduce the loan period for the person holding the book to 10
days from the time you recall it.
